Celebrating National Transfer Student Week 

Emma Spangler, a transfer counselor, showed me everything I needed to know — what classes would transfer, what classes I would have to take, and guided me through the whole process. All of the classes she said transferred, and I’m happy to be on my way to finishing my academic career at GMercyU.

The staff and faculty were incredibly supportive, helping me design a course schedule that fit my goals and showing genuine care for my success inside and outside the classroom. I chose GMercyU for its well-rounded Biology program. From the start, I felt welcomed by the community and made friends by stepping out of my comfort zone. The campus is peaceful and scenic, a perfect balance to the academic workload. Opportunities here are endless for those willing to take the first step.

[I'm] a Psychology major transferring from Montgomery County Community College. My experience at Gwynedd Mercy University so far has been amazing! From the faculty, class selection, classmates and campus, GMercyU is the place to truly immerse yourself in your field. 

I transferred from High Point University to be closer to home and join a community with strong academics and a great sports culture. Since arriving at GMercyU, I’ve joined the Sports Business Association and am looking to get involved in intramurals. I’ve really enjoyed how welcoming everyone has been. I love the tight-knit environment and the opportunities to connect with both students and faculty. 

When deciding to return to college, I was on the hunt for a school that would give me a solid cybersecurity education. GMercyU is a great choice for any degree because its primary focus is on preparing students for the workforce, regardless of their major.

GMercyU was transparent with my credits and course offerings. [Biology Program Director] Dr. McEliece laid out a detailed plan for me to finish up my coursework in the two years I was hoping for.

[GMercyU] was more affordable compared to other private schools, and it supported commuters. What really sealed the deal was the small class sizes. I wanted to be able to really connect with my professors, and GMercyU could give that to me.

I instantly fell in love with GMercyU; it was everything I wanted in a college. It was smaller in size, close to home, had a very nice campus, and provided a lot of great scholarship opportunities.

I have always heard that GMercyU had a good reputation. It is also a partner school with MCCC, and all of the classes I took transferred right over.

The environment was unlike other campuses I had previously visited. The campus is surrounded by trees and gives you a sense of tranquility.
