Guthrie Nursing Scholars Program
Secure employment at The Guthrie Clinic system, launch your nursing career, and receive up to $65,000 in loan repayment funds!
Through a special partnership with Guthrie, GMercyU Nursing students can apply for Guthrie's exciting loan reimbursement opportunities in exchange for a three-year work commitment after graduation and licensure.
Through this program, you can reduce the cost of your education while securing employment at The Guthrie Clinic prior to graduation. The Guthrie Clinic, a nationally recognized non-profit integrated health care system, includes 6 hospital campuses, a large medical group, home health, long-term care and hospice services in Pennsylvania and New York.
You can leave the program at any time. If you do so before completing your work commitment, you forfeit any further loan repayments made by the health system but are not required to reimburse any payments already made on your behalf.

Who Is Eligible
- Students in one of these GMercyU Nursing programs:
- Be in good academic standing with a competitive GPA
- Be a United States Citizen, Permanent Resident, or with residency under DACA or TPS programs
Selection isn’t guaranteed simply by meeting the criteria.
