How to Report Crimes on Campus
For emergencies, call the Gwynedd Mercy University's Public Safety Office at 215-641-5522 or call 911.
Please use the form below to report a known student behavior or issue that you believe may impede you or your fellow student's ability to learn, study, and socialize in a safe and comfortable environment.
Report a public safety incident
To ensure that you or the victim gets proper support and the rest of the GMercyU community is safe, we encourage you to report all safety issues. All reports will be promptly investigated and if necessary, the local or state police will be contacted.
If a report also violates GMercyU's code of conduct, it will be forwarded to the office of the Vice President for Student Services and Dean of Students for appropriate action.

Rape and Sexual Violence
As a community, GMercyU is committed to providing a supportive and safe environment for all who study, work and live here. Due to sensitive issues involved in rape and other sexual assaults, the victim may disclose the incident some time after it has occurred, but we encourage the victim to contact Counseling Services Department for support and assistance and to report the incident as soon as possible.
Incidents that are reported to Gwynedd Mercy University will be addressed promptly and will be treated as discretely as possible.
If the victim elects to go through the criminal justice system and/or receive medical treatment, personnel from Counseling Services will accompany the victim to the hospital for evaluation, treatment and/or evidence collection. The victim will be informed of reporting options, including the right to report the incident fully and completely to the Lower Gwynedd Police Department, or the right to file no report. University personnel will be available to assist the individual in notifying appropriate authorities.

The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act, a federal law, requires institutions of higher education to advise the campus community where information concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained. Reporting a Missing Person
Gwynedd Mercy University thoroughly investigates all community people reported as missing whether they reside on or off campus.
To report a missing person, you can:
- Dial 1-1-1 from a campus telephone
- Use one of the blue light emergency telephones on campus
- Dial 215-641-5522 from off-campus
- Visit the Office of Public Safety located in St. Brigid resident hall
- Contact Lower Gwynedd Police Department at 215-646-5300
