The Temple Health Nursing Scholars Program
Secure employment at Temple Health, launch your nursing career, and receive up to $40,000 in loan repayment funds!
Through a special partnership, GMercyU Nursing students can apply to the program to reduce the cost of your education while securing employment at Temple Health — comprised of Temple University Hospital, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and several community-based facilities — prior to graduation.
The program provides participants up to $40,000 in student loan repayment in exchange for a 3-year work commitment upon graduation, licensure, and beginning full-time employment as a registered nurse.
You can leave the program at any time. If you do so before completing your work commitment, you forfeit any further loan repayments made by the health system but are not required to reimburse any payments already made on your behalf.

Who Is Eligible
- Students in one of these GMercyU Nursing programs:
- Be in good academic standing with a competitive GPA
- Be a United States Citizen, Permanent Resident, or with residency under DACA or TPS programs
Selection isn’t guaranteed simply by meeting the criteria.

- Enroll as a new or returning GMercyU BSN student
- Apply to the Temple Health Nursing Scholars program before completing your degree
