The WellSpan Health Scholars Program
Secure employment at WellSpan Health, launch your nursing career, and receive up to $37,500 in loan repayment funds!
Through a special partnership, GMercyU Nursing students can apply to the program to reduce the cost of your education while securing employment prior to graduation at WellSpan Health, with locations throughout central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.
The program provides participants up to $37,500 in student loan repayment in exchange for a three-year work commitment, or up to $25,000 for a two-year commitment at WellSpan Health upon graduation, licensure, and beginning full-time employment as a registered nurse.
You can leave the program at any time. If you do so before completing your work commitment, you forfeit any further loan repayments made by the health system but are not required to reimburse any payments already made on your behalf.

Who Is Eligible
- Students in one of these GMercyU Nursing programs:
- Be in good academic standing with a competitive GPA
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or with residency under DACA or TPS programs
Selection isn’t guaranteed simply by meeting the criteria.
