Program Details
At GMercyU, you won't just study marketing, you'll practice it. Our Bachelor of Science in Marketing builds your foundation in market strategy, consumer behavior, and integrated marketing communications, then puts you to work applying it through real social media campaigns, digital strategy projects, and CRM tools, so you graduate with a portfolio, not just a transcript.
- Small class sizes mean real access to your professors and peers, not just a seat in a lecture hall.
- Every class is taught by faculty who've worked inside the industry (no teaching assistants at GMercyU), so you're learning from people who've actually run these campaigns, some for iconic brands.
- A required internship gets you real work experience before you graduate.
- Join GMercyU's Marketing Club to collaborate with peers, attend events, and stay current on trends in advertising, digital marketing, and branding.
- Our education is rooted in the values of the Sisters of Mercy, compassion, social justice, and service, built directly into how we teach fair business practices, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Undergraduate Minors
Increase the value of your marketing degree by adding an undergraduate minor that best suits your personal and professional goals.
Here's a closer look at a few of the classes you'll take as a marketing major.
MKT 305 CRM Technology & Strategy (3 credits)
Every great customer relationship runs on data. In this course, you'll work hands-on in Salesforce, the CRM platform used by companies worldwide, to track customer behavior, manage relationships, and turn data into strategy.
MKT 333 Integrated Marketing Communications (3 credits)
A brand's message has to work everywhere at once: social, digital, print, in-store. This course teaches you to build a campaign that ties every channel together, from concept to media planning to measuring what actually worked.
MKT 410 Digital Marketing (3 credits)
Consumers search, shop, and interact with brands online before they ever walk into a store. You'll learn inbound and outbound digital strategy, mobile marketing, and how to read the metrics that show whether a campaign is actually working, and you'll walk away with a professional certification and a digital marketing plan you built yourself.
MKT 438 Social Media Marketing (3 credits)
Social media is where brands are built and broken. You'll learn how companies use platforms strategically, not just post content, covering audience targeting, content strategy, influencer partnerships, and how to measure real impact.
MKT 407 Strategic Market Management (3 credits)
This course puts you in the driver's seat of a real marketing strategy. You'll analyze competitors, evaluate market opportunities, and decide where and how a brand should compete, then build a complete marketing strategy and defend it in an executive-style presentation, the same way you'd pitch it to a real leadership team.
For all marketing program course descriptions, please refer to the University Catalog.
Beyond the courses that go deep on marketing itself, you'll also build a foundation in the business skills that make marketers valuable across an organization.
A Digital Communications concentration is also available for students who want to add coursework in digital analytics, content creation, and social media strategy to their marketing major.
